Laser Therapy: Photobiomodulation, also known as low level laser therapy (LLLT) and cold laser therapy is a medical technique in which exposure to low-level laser light enhances tissue growth and has other beneficial effects. Clinical applications include treating soft tissue injuries and chronic pain, aiding smoking cessation, wound healing and nerve regeneration, and possibly even resolving viral and bacterial infections.
Theralase is a cutting edge technology that rapidly heals tissue and is clinically proven to eliminate pain. Therapeutic Laser treatments provide safe, effective and painless therapy that uses the body’s own natural healing system to relieve pain, increase joint mobility, and promote cell regeneration. Treatment time will vary from as little as 2 minutes to as long as 20 minutes. The total number of treatments required varies between 5 to 25 depending on the body’s natural healing rate.
Theralase offers treatment for acute and chronic pain conditions, addictions (smoking cessation), and cosmetic revitalization. Laser Therapy can help you regain the active and healthy lifestyle you want by using the power of light energy
Treatable Conditions: Low Back Pain, Neck Pain,Arthritis, Heel Pain, Shoulder Pain, Tennis/Golfer's Elbow, Knee Pain, Tendiniis, Sprains & Strains, Carpal Tunnel Syndrom, Hip Pain, Wound Healing, DIabetic Ulcers.
Ultrasound: Therapeutic ultrasound is a technique that uses high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) to speed healing in injured joint or muscle tissue. The frequency used is typically 1-3 Mhz. At this frequency, the waves tend to travel through tissue with high water or low protein content, and to bounce off cartilage and bone. They are absorbed primarily by connective tissue: ligaments, tendons, and fascia (and also by scar tissue).
Therapeutic ultrasound has two types of benefit: Thermal effects involve energy absorbed from the sound waves heating the tissue (increasing blood flow), which speeds healing and reduces chronic inflammation. Cavitational effects result from the vibration of the tissue causing microscopic air bubbles to form, which transmit the vibrations in a way that directly stimulates cell membranes. This physical stimulation appears to enhance the cell-repair effects of the inflammatory response. Therapeutic ultrasound is recommended for muscle as well as joint pain.
Interferential Current: Interferential current therapy is a treatment to aid the relief of pain and the promotion of soft-tissue healing.
Tiny electrical impulses are induced into the tissues in the area of the pain. Where these waves intersect below the surface of the skin, the low-frequency stimulation induces the body to secrete endorphins, which are the bodies natural pain-killers
Most patients find interferential therapy to be very beneficial and describe the treatment as being relaxing and having a 'pins and needles' sensation. Ligament sprains, muscle strains and spasms often respond well to interferential current therapy
Patient Benefits: Reduces painful symptoms, Decreases local swelling, Helps restore normal movementt, Releases the body's natural painkillers, Accelerates the healing process
